Leading photography house, Studio 24, has released exclusive pictures of the Access Bank, Lagos City Marathon’s second edition which took place on Saturday. Access Bank plc in collaboration with the Lagos state Government, put together another excellent marathon, following the magnificent turnout of the 2016 maiden edition. The race kicked off at the National Stadium Surulere and terminated at the sales office Eko Atlantic on Ahmadu Bello Way, Victoria Island. The marathon is said to have an estimated 55,000 elite athletes including kids and the paraplegic.

The champion of the overall race Abraham Kiptum from Kenya, who emerged victorious in the maiden edition, yet again snagged this year’s title and will be going home with a $50,000 cash prize. On the other hand, in the female category Rhoda Jepkhorir from Kenya, was the first to cross the finish line. The marathon is one of the government’s efforts to introduce and pull both local and foreign attention to the multifaceted Lagos experience.
