Socialites, Rilwan Bamgbala and Sarumi Samusideen have both been conferred chieftaincy titles by the Onikate of Ikate Surulere, Oba Lateef Atanda Adams of Latris Couture fame.

While Rilwan, a hospitality entrepreneur was conferred with Okanlomo of Ikate Surulere chieftaincy title, Sarumi who is the CEO of 606 Autos was conferred with the Bashorun of Ikate Surulere chieftaincy title. Both were conferred with the title in recognition of their contributions to entrepreneurship, job creation, philanthropy, and community development.

Besides the duo, only Rilwan’s wife, Oluwadamilola was conferred with the title of Yeye Okanlomo of Ikate Surulere.

The installation ceremony was part of activities commemorating Oba Lateef Atanda Adams’ 10th coronation anniversary, bringing together traditional rulers, business leaders, political figures, and other dignitaries to celebrate individuals recognised for their contributions to the growth and development of Ikate Surulere.

Sarumi bagged his chieftaincy title despite his pending case with anti-graft agency the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission, EFCC over a N206,000,000 fraud case which has been on trial since the beginning of the year.
