That notorious kidnapper, Evans who has evaded police arrest for almost five years loves real estate is not in doubt. The billionaire whose real name is Chukwudi Dumeme Onuamadike owns houses both in Nigeria and in Ghana.

The ones so far known are two mansions all located in Magodo Estate in Lagos, one of which he was arrested in and another two four-bedroom duplexes in Accra Ghana.  The two mansions in Magodo GRA Phase 2 are said to be worth about three hundred million naira N300,000,00.

He was also a lover of exotic cars, expensive wrist watches, one of which he bought for $170,000, jewelries, 9 phones, three of which cost $6,000 each.

Evans also loves the dollar bill, a currency he preferred to collect his ransom money in because according to him, he wanted to be different. According to him, the highest he had collected as ransom was one million dollars.

According to the police, 36 year old Evans who is married with five children collected $1million from no fewer than four of his victims.

On his modus operandi, Evans who was once a spare parts seller but left the business after losing N20 million to customs officer said, “I work in two groups. A team moves with me to kidnap victims while we hand over to the other team that takes the victim to the hide out.

The kingpin who is also a drug baron was arrested on Saturday by the police Joint Special Forces led by the Intelligence Response Team, the Lagos State Police Command’s Anti-Kidnapping Unit and Technical and Intelligent Unit of the Force under the supervision of the Commissioner of Police, Lagos State in one of his mansions in Magodo, Lagos.

A native of Nnewi, he was the vicious leader of a highly organised kidnap-for-ransom syndicate and criminal gang terrorising and responsible for several kidnap of notable/prominent Nigerians in Lagos State, including the Western, Eastern, South-South and some Northern States.
