A graduate of the University of Lagos, Senami Sosu’s chance meeting with the former governor of Delta State, James Ibori, changed her life. The dark skinned beauty suddenly had her status upped when she began to savour an affair with the Oghara born former state chief executive. Despite the nearly two-decade age difference that existed between the two, Ibori ensured she lacked nothing, as he availed her of life‘s luxuries in no mean proportion. In addition to providing her with a luxury ride and a posh apartment in an elitist part of town, they embarked on several holiday trips overseas together. Flaunting their affection for each other in public, it was not out of place to sight the pair at public functions despite the fact that he was married. At the height of Ibori‘s dilemma, Sosu maintained a very limited presence on the social scene in the hope that her lover‘s travails would soon be over.  In fact, Senami was actually with Ibori in Dubai when the London police arrested him and began extradition trials. Well thankfully, Ibori’s travails are not only over, she has been re united with him and has with glee, taken her pride of place beside him as his wife. Apparently, not many are aware that Ibori actually married Senami while he was still with his second wife and former first lady, Nkoyo who was also jailed alongside him for money laundering. The former first lady was said to have resented her husband’s marriage to a Senami who is a much younger woman as well as his well-publicized affairs with numerous women. Perhaps for his betrayal of the marriage vows, Nkoyo may have had to move on with her life without Ibori who made her go through hell for him.
