Jeff Bezos, the founder of Amazon, and his longtime partner Lauren Sanchez have officially tied the knot.
The wedding ceremony was held on Friday on San Giorgio Island in Venice in Italy, directly opposite the iconic Doge’s Palace.
61 year old Bezos looked dapper in a black tuxedo with a matching bow tie, while 55 year old Sanchez dazzled in an exquisite custom Dolce & Gabbana gown.
The high-profile wedding reportedly hosted 250 A-list guests, including Kim Kardashian, Oprah Winfrey, Ivanka Trump, Jared Kushner, Bill Gates, Eric Schmidt, Leonardo DiCaprio, Orlando Bloom, Usher, Jewel, Tom Brady, and OpenAI founder Sam Altman.
The celebration was further elevated by a live performance from Matteo Bocelli, son of legendary Italian tenor Andrea Bocelli, who serenaded the couple with a heartfelt love song.
The festivities spanned three days, kicking off on Thursday with a glamorous party at the Madonna dell’Orto cloister and culminating in a grand reception on Saturday at a former shipyard complex.
While the couple exchanged vows in Venice, it remains unclear whether they also held a civil ceremony in the city.
Despite the opulent celebrations, the wedding faced backlash from environmental activists and anti-tourism groups, who accused Bezos of flaunting his wealth and exploiting Venice’s fragile ecosystem for personal indulgence.
However, local authorities welcomed the event, with president of Veneto region Luca Zaia estimating that the wedding would inject €34 million into the local economy, benefiting businesses and tourism.
Bezos and Sanchez’s relationship has been in the public eye since 2019, when their romance made headlines after private messages between them were leaked while both were still married to their former spouses.
