Finally, the long-awaited wedding ceremony between Uchechi Iweala and Chioma Achebe, the granddaughter of the late literary icon Prof. Chinua Achebe, is here. The holy matrimony is scheduled to hold on the 29th and 30th of December 2017 in Umuahia, Abia State.
Uchechi is the medical doctor last son of Nigeria’s two-time minister of finance, Ngozi Okonjo-Iweala. He had earlier broken the news of their engagement to his social media friends through a Facebook post on April 29, 2016 at 11:37pm.
He wrote, “Chioma Achebe we’re engaged!!! #onanewlevel”
Uchechi Iweala like his other siblings, is a Harvard-trained scholar having graduated from the Harvard Medical School in 2014. He works in Washington, DC and specializes in Orthopaedic Surgery. While Chioma Achebe is also a graduate of Harvard Law and Business school and works as a consultant at Boston Consulting Group (BSG), Washington D.C.
