Barely two weeks after the son of a member of the house of representatives, Abraham Badru, aged 26, was shot dead, another Nigerian, 18-year-old Israel Ogunsola has been stabbed to death at a railway bridge on Link Street in Hackney, United Kingdom. Police officers who saw him after the attack said they tried to revive him with first aid but sadly, he lost the battle to survive and died at the scene of the incident.
“The policewoman’s arms were literally covered in blood, you could see she had been trying to fight for this man’s life. People were just coming all night, just crying and breaking down in tears.” an eyewitness said

Reacting to the unfortunate incident, the devastated father of the deceased, 55-year-old Dele Ogunsola, said Israel, a computer programming undergrduate, was cycling to meet his friends when he was stabbed to death by unknown persons.
“My son was a well brought up boy who respected everyone and was liked by all and sundry. The bloodshed must stop. London’s streets are so dangerous. Young people are being slaughtered every day. If it means bringing back more stop and search, then so be it. We are struggling to come to terms with what has happened. He has an older brother and sister, he was the baby of the house. We are all heartbroken”.

The UK police say they have arrested two persons in connection with the murder.
