Singer, David Adeleke, better known as Davido, and his wife Chioma have welcomed a set of twins, a boy and a girl in the United States.

The pleasant news was confirmed via a viral video where Davido’s dad, Adedeji Adeleke could be heard welcoming Chioma who was seated in a wheelchair and Davido standing beside her with other family members scurrying to make the new mother comfortable.

In the video, Davido could be seen beaming with smiles while his wife held the twins grinning.

There had been rumours of the couple welcoming a set of twins but the couple declined to confirm this.

Gospel Agochukwu, the general overseer of Shekina Area Gospel Ministry, was among the prominent persons who first circulated the reports.

The cleric shared a WhatsApp screenshot wherein the Afrobeats star appeared to have informed him that the prophecy he made last year had come to pass.

Recall that the couple sadly lost their only son who was three years old, last year at their Banana Island, Lagos home.

Ifeanyi drowned in a pool within the residence. The boy was thereafter rushed to a hospital in Lekki where he was confirmed dead.

This forced the singer to go on a social media hiatus.

He returned to social media on March 21 with the announcement of Timeless, his fourth studio album, which will be released on March 31.

In March, Davido confirmed his marriage to Chioma.

“I traveled, I’m married. A lot of different things but we’re ready now to get back on the road. The album will soon be out, it’s amazing and we’re back on the road,” he had said.
