Beyonce may very well be on her way to becoming the firsts entertainer to own church, if the news of her buying her own church is anything to go by. The singer is said to have splashed out up to £631,000 ($850,000) on the New Orleans property, which is over 100 years old. The 7,500 square foot pile has been out of commission as a church for years after its congregation passed away over the years.
It is unclear what the star plans to do with the property, but it is located not too far from her sister, Solange’s home. This is the second reported sacred property the star has bought in the area, with another £2million being spent in 2015 on another refurbished church.
