Senator Tokunbo Afikuyomi, one of the closest allies of All Progressives Congress (APC) National Leader, Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu seems to have broken ranks with him ahead the 2019 general elections. Afikuyomi who has always been in the engine room of APC and on Tinubu’s side since this democratic dispensation began in 1999, thanked everyone and wished them very good tidings and a successful 2019 before dropping the bombshell. ….. “on a personally, I am now an Independent Service Provider….”

Though the rumour mill has been agog with the news that Afikuyomi was unhappy at the way Governor Akinwinmi Ambode was treated by the party, no one could confirm officially what was amiss until the tweet by the former Senator. The implication of this is massive because with this statement, it means the politician has officially declared that he may work against APC in 2019.
