Kano-based billionaire business mogul, Alhaji Auwalu Abdullahi Rano, more popularly known as A A Rano, is expanding his business frontiers with the launch of Rano Airline for domestic and international flights as well as cargo service. With the investment Nigerian pilots and aircrew will have more job opportunities.

Known for his business acumen and philanthropist gestures, Alhaji who made a name for himself in the oil and gas business, started out in business with the marketing and distribution of petroleum products in 1994 and built his first retail outlet in Kano State in 1996.

The company was fully incorporated as A. A.  Rano Nigeria Limited in 2002 together with all its subsidiaries incorporated. The company is vertically integrated and operates in all areas of the oil and gas industry, including exploration and production, refining, distribution, marketing and trading of petroleum products, provision of cargo and haulage logistic services.

The oil outfit has been enjoying an unprecedented growth in recent years which is evident in the construction of its 60 million liters tank farm in Lagos, and commissioning of its newly acquired Vessel (Mt. Hajara).

The company’s unprecedented growth and strategic expansion into the upstream sector of the nation’s oil and gas petroleum subsector (exploration and production) earned it the lifting right of 45,000/bpd of the country’s crude oil under the Federal Government Offshore Processing Agreement. The oil firm is considering building its own crude oil refining plant in the nation.

The company has been enjoying an unprecedented growth in recent years which is evident in the construction of its Tank Farm in Lagos, Nigeria and commissioning of its newly Mt. Hajara Vessel.
