Daniella Allen, a former mistress to wealthy businessman and man about town, Musa Danjuma is bereaved. She recently lost her socialite husband, Igho Ubiribo more popularly known as Ego to the cold arms of death. The United States based Ego reportedly died of heart attack.
For context and for many who may not know, Daniella is a Zimbabwean born fashion designer who was at some point, a mistress to Musa Danjuma, the younger brother to Gen Theophilus Danjuma (retd). While the relationship lasted, she was the spice of Musa’s life, and he couldn’t get enough of her.
Despite being of mixed parentage like his ex-wife, Nollywood actress and reality TV star, Caroline Danjuma now known as Caroline Hutchings, Musa seemed to prefer Daniella so much that he openly flaunted her, a situation that didn’t go down well with Caroline who got physical with her at a point. The affection which Musa openly showered Daniella worried Caroline so much that she decided to break up their marriage. This gave room for Daniella and Musa to carry on unhindered. They both attended social events together and Daniella played hostess each time Musa threw a party.
Society watchers had envisioned that Musa would walk down the aisle with Daniella and thus saw her as Caroline’s likely replacement. They waited with bated breath for the couple to formalise their relationship. Unfortunately, that didn’t happen and she got hooked to Ego and left Nigeria for good to go be with her love interest.
Also, back in 2023, the National Drug Law Enforcement Agency, NDLEA, declared both Ego and Daniella wanted alongside a popular Port Harcourt-based prophetess and founder of Christ Power Adoration Ministries, Faith Ugochi, for allegedly recruiting teenage girls into drug trafficking. According to NDLEA, both Daniella and Ego who are friends with David Adeleke aka Davido said they serve as the arrowheads of an international syndicate operating from Los Angeles, USA.
Apparently, the syndicate which they are a part of, recruit young girls as salesgirls in the illicit drug trade. The prophetess used her church platform to recruit these teenage girls brought to her for help, on behalf of Ego who the NDLEA say are the owners of the business, while another member of the syndicate, Edward Omatseye aka Montana coordinates the illicit drug trade activities for them in Nigeria, with another, Nnochiri Chidinma Promise as representative of Ben Cargo Ltd, a freight company responsible for the shipment of illicit consignments into the country.
While some members of the syndicate were charged to court, the prophetess, Ego who the NDLEA say goes by the alias Tiny and Danielle refused to submit themselves for questioning have proved abortive despite several letters of invitation sent to them. At first, the couple sent a legal representation to ask for another time to honour the invitation, but they never did.
