A few days after Oba Rashidi Adewolu Ladoja, a former Oyo State governor was crowned the Olubadan of Ibadanland, one of his wives and a former first lady, Mutiat Olayinka Ladoja clocked 70 years.
The celebration which took place on October 1st was held at the banquet hall of a hotel in Ibadan, the Oyo State capital.
Although her husband was not physically available at the birthday celebrations, Seyi Makinde, the Oyo State governor was physically present to make the day memorable for her.
As part of her birthday celebrations, she donated millions of naira and items to 16 orphanages and care homes for people with disabilities in Oyo State.
She has a long history of philanthropic work, running the ‘Idera De Foundation’ for the less privileged for many years. Only two months ago, August to be precise, she was named an ambassador for the Oyo State Agency for the Control of AIDS to help raise awareness and support for the cause.
