It’s the highlight of New York’s social calendar. One of the most-watched, celebrity-packed red carpet events of the year, guests are expected to be truly avant garde in their choice of clothing which should reflect the theme of the annual event and this year, the fund-raising event usually for the Metropolitan Museum of Art’s Costume Institute chose to honour Commes de Garcons’ designer, Rei Kawakubo. As its been the tradition, the co chairs for this year’s event were, Vogue editor, Anna Wintour, who has been co-chairing the MET Gala since 1999 as well as music super stars, Katy Perry, Pharell Williams and his wife as well as super model, Giselle Bunchen and her husband, Tom Brady.
