For businessman and politician, Demola Seriki, life must go on irrespective of what life throws one’s way. Despite the seizure of his prized properties by Asset Management Corporation of Nigeria for his indebtedness to banks, the former minister has remained unfazed as he even recently got hosted by his inlaws, billionaire industralist, Chief Rasak Akanni Okoya and his wife, Shade to a superlative 60th birthday party.
Held at the expansive Oluwanisola Estate home of the Okoyas, the party attracted the cream of Lagos high society including the state governor, Babajide Sanwo-Olu. Demola Seriki’s wife, Wosilat who is the only sister of chief Okoya was so overwhelmed by the quality of guests and entertainment at the event that she could not help but shower the Okoyas with gratitude for honouring her husband.
In his speech, Governor Sanwo-Olu heaped praises on Chief Seriki who holds the traditional title of Otun Are of Lagos. He said the celebrant was not only a good and dependable man but someone who can be very tough.
