The president of resident doctors at the Delta State University Teaching Hospital, in Oghara, Dr. Jerry Isogun, has been reportedly kidnapped by unknown gunmen. The gunmen, suspected to be kidnappers, reportedly abducted the doctors on his way home on Wednesday night November 19, 2019.

The victim was allegedly kidnapped along the Oghara-Mossogar-Sapele axis of the Benin-Sapele highway. The medical doctor was said to be returning back home from work when the armed-hoodlums waylaid and took him away to unknown location.

Sources at DELSUTH who confirmed the development on Thursday said, “Dr. Isogun was whisked away in his car by gunmen. The medical doctor was returning home when hoodlums suspected to be kidnappers waylaid and took him away. Till now, no one has seen him,” the source said; adding, “kidnapping around the Oghara-Mossogar- apele axis has started again.”

The Delta State Commissioner of Police, Adeleke Adeyinka, confirmed the report saying, “He has been missing since last night. We are still looking for him, no one has seen him.”
