Terrorists have attacked the Government Girls Comprehensive Senior Secondary School (GGCSS), Maga, on Monday morning, killing the vice-principal, Hassan Yakubu Makuku, and abducting 25 students in Danko/Wasagu local government area of Kebbi state.

Witnesses reported that the attack occurred around 5 a.m., when the terrorists invaded the school compound without resistance while they were preparing for their morning routines.

According to a resident, the vice-principal was shot while trying to protect the students during the assault.

“He was shot as he tried to protect his students from being taken by the terrorists.

“It’s a great loss for the community and the school,” the resident said .

Security agencies have not released details regarding rescue operations for the abducted students.

Residents have called for urgent intervention to secure the release of the kidnapped students.
