The Agbaje brothers, Jimi Agbaje, a serial gubernatorial candidate on the platform of Peoples Democratic Party, PDP and Segun Agbaje, the group managing director of GTCO, are currently bereaved.
The duo has lost their dearly beloved mother, Mama Margaret Olabisi Agbaje.
She passed away peacefully on March 5 surrounded by family.
Mama Agbaje in her lifetime was a revered educator and community leader. She was a trailblazer in the education sector. She served as a mathematics teacher at Holy Child College, Lagos (1953–1959), a tutor at St. Joseph’s Teacher Training College, Surulere (1960–1971), and later as Headmistress of St. Catherine’s Model School, Surulere (1971–1982).
She was also a pillar of the Catholic community in Nigeria and was until her death, the President of the Catholic Women Organisation (CWO), Lagos Ecclesiastical Province, and holding key leadership roles in the church.
Burial arrangements for Mama Agbaje is yet to be released by her family.
