Buhari confers national honours on Emefiele, Anyaoku others

President Muhammadu Buhari on Sunday conferred national honour on Central Bank Governor, Godwin Emefiele

He was conferred with Commander of the Order of the Federal Republic.

This is despite calls for his arrest from some quarters over his alleged poor handling of the economy, particularly the naira design.

Also, a former Secretary-General of the Commonwealth, Emeka Anyaoku was conferred with the Grand Commander of the Order of the Niger.

Also, former Governor of Osun, Bisi Akande; Olusegun Osoba and Mamman Daura among others, received Commander of the Order of the Federal Republic

Olowu of Kuta Oba Adekunle Makama was also conferred with the Commander of the Order of Niger.

Buhari also gave national honour to members of his cabinet.

Minister of State, Labour and Employment, Festus Keyamo was confered with the Commander of the Order of the Niger, CON.
