Veteran Nollywood actor, Romanus Amuta, also known as Natty in Television soap, New Masquerade is dead.
The actor died yesterday at the age of 79 after suffering from protracted illness.
The first son of the deceased, Chukwuma Amuta made the news of his father’s demise known in a chat with NAN. He described his father as a loving man who did his best to raise his children.
Late Amuta worked with Daily Times Newspaper before venturing into the movie industry. From Ukana in Udi Local Government Area of Enough State, the late actor came to limelight in New Masquerade one of the most popular soaps in the 80’s.
He has also acted in other notable movies such as Lion Finger , Eagle Bride, Ijele. He is survived by his wife, Cordelia and his six children.
