The authorities of Chukwuemeka Odumegwu Ojukwu University formerly Anambra State University under the leadership of the Vice Chancellor, Professor Greg Nwakobi, have forced the final-year students of the College of Medicine, Faculty of Clinical Medicine, to secretly resume school.

The students were told that the medical students’ hostel will be closed, hence they’d have to find themselves temporary accommodation outside town as they prepare for their mock and final exams. This move violates the instructions of both the state and federal government on closure of schools in the light of the COVID-19 pandemic.

Of more importance is how the authorities expect students living outside Anambra to make it to Awka considering the interstate lockdown. The attached circular bears the details.
