First Lady of Nigeria, Aisha Buhari, who returned to the country through the Nnamdi Azikiwe International Airport, Abuja, on Sunday said that her long stay outside the country was due to “doctor’s instruction”.
Mrs Buhari says that she was well now even though she still needs some more rest. She said, “I have taken my holiday for this year and it happened that after the holiday, I needed to attend to my health before going to Saudi Arabia. When I went to Saudi, based on doctor’s instruction, I went back to the United Kingdom. I am well now but still I need more rest.”
Mrs. Buhari returned to the country shortly after news of an alleged wedding slated for last Saturday between President Muhammadu Buhari and Hajiya Sadiya Umar Farouq, recently appointed by the former to head the Ministry of Humanitarian Affairs, Disaster Management, and Social Development.
The first lady equally confirmed the authenticity of a viral video of her shouting in exasperation for being locked up and guarded in the Villa by too any security personnel. She admitted that the video is indeed a real o ne but that the incidence happened a long time ago.
