Singer, Azeez Fashola, more popularly known as Naira Marley has been released from prison custody. He was released almost two weeks after he was granted bail of N2 million by a Federal High Court in Lagos.
Naira Marley was arrested and charged to court by the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission, EFFC on 11 counts of cyber crime. Nicholas Oweibo, who presided over the case, granted the bail with two sureties in like sum, one of which must be on grade level 10 at the federal or state employment. The other surety must have a landed property within the court’s jurisdiction.
The judge, thereafter, adjourned the case till October 22, 23 and 24, for accelerated hearing.
