Senate president, Senator Bukola Saraki who is currently in Qatar as leader of the National Assembly’s delegation to the 140th Inter-Parliamentary Union (IPU) meeting, has asked the country’s government to look into the issue of visiting visas not being granted to Nigerians wishing to visit Qatar.

The senator made the plea during a meeting with the Prime Minister and Minister of Interior of Qatar, Sheikh Abdullah Bin Nasser Bin Khalifa Al-Thani, in Doha. Saraki lamented that the visa ban is negatively affecting Nigerians as it prevents them from visiting the country.

The 140th Inter-Parliamentary Union (IPU) meeting which commenced on the 5th of April will end on the 8th April 2019.
