Sokoto State governor, Aminu Tambuwal is beyond himself with joy as his second wife, Hajiya Maryam Mairo has been delivered of a baby girl. It is their first child together. The baby arrived in the early hours of Wednesday, 2 January, 2019, at a highbrow hospital in Dubai, the United Arab Emirates. Tambuwal and Maryam Mairo, an IT guru met a few years ago, during the period he served as a Speaker of the House of Representatives. He proposed to her shortly before he contested for the Sokoto State gubernatorial election. However, their decision to become man and wife didn’t happen until in 2016 after he became governor. The 42 year old Maryam is the niece to Justice Mariam Aloma Mukhtar.
