Veteran actor, Ignis Ekwe, one-time Nollywood actor popular for his role in television soap opera, ‘Everyday People’, is dead. His daughter, Susan Emike Ekwe confirmed this via her instagram page today, of his passing.
“The unbelievable just happened to me. Daddy you broke my heart,” she said.

Before his passing, Ignis Ekwe from Fuga, Edo State was a lecturer in the department of Mass Communication, Auchi Polytechnic in Edo state. He also worked as a consultant for the United Nations Children Fund (UNICEF). Other popular movie productions he featured in were ‘Igodo’, ‘The Price’, ‘Everyday People’ and ‘Cockcrow at dawn’.
