The Metropolitan Museum of Art more popularly referred to as the MET Gala otherwise known as the most fashionable night of the year may have come and gone but the memories of its red carpet fashion will continue to linger with us for a very long time, what with the creativity that went into most of the night’s array of glamorous designs, all in conformity with the theme of the night. The iconic stairs of the Metropolitan Museum of Art was where the fashion display by celebrities happened. Organized by Vogue Editor-in-Chief, Anna Wintour, this year’s MET gala theme drew inspiration from the Catholic church thus it was aptly called; Heavenly Bodies: Fashion and the Catholic Imagination. The event and accompanying exhibition was designed to create a dialogue between fashion and the masterworks of religious art in the museum’s holdings. To help Anna Wintour to chair the event this year, Donatella Versace, Amal Clooney and Rihanna were selected as co-chairs of the glamorous event.
