A few years ago, Abuja based former socialites and twin sisters, Arafa Ukonga and Seluwa Moma launched their entry into the social hemisphere with the opening of their beauty parlour, Selera Faces. They were among the first set of beauticians to launch their own brand of cosmetics and skin care products long before it became a fad. Of Nigerian and Tanzanian origin, the twins changed the perception of beauty in relation to Abuja. However, not long after their annual contest for the Face of Selera, which was usually a concert of sorts, began to gather momentum, it was discontinued and so did their social life take a break as well. They instead preferred to quietly do their thing. Today, one of the twins, Arafa specifically, has expanded her frontiers to include a fitness outfit called Rydefit. The new spinning and fitness class which is currently dominating Abuja was opened for business late last year and is the place to be for anyone looking to get their fitness act together. Rydefit offers a variety of fitness activities like spinning, kick boxing, yoga, zumba, yes resistance among several others.
