Gone are the days when Sola Adeoti, daughter to industrialist, Chief Samuel Adedoyin dominated the social scene on account of her job as the MD of the defunct City Express Bank where her father was the chairman. But the petite and cerebral banker would sooner than later go into oblivion when she became overwhelmed with a series of unfortunate events. First the bank she was piloting began to reel under the weight of mismanagement and financial malpractices, prompting it to join the list of growing defunct banks in Nigeria. And then she got diagnosed with cancer, a deadly disease she battled with unwavering faith in God and. Her son, Solomon soon after got diagnosed with the cancer of the brain. Again with faith and resilience, she helped her son overcome. No sooner had she arrived Nigeria than the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission put her in their custody to provide answers to how money was mismanaged under watch at the bank. Well, today, not only has Sola Adeoti overcome all those tribulations, she is currently basking in a new lease of life and the love her new husband, Oba Francis Alao, the Olugbon of Igbon land showers on her. There is no gain saying the fact that the weight of all of the issues she faced these past few years may have taken a toll on her marriage to her former husband, a clergy man, thus leading to their divorce. But one can’t deny that her new husband, whom she remarried quietly has made life worth much living again.
