Harrysong, real names, Harrison Tare Okiri, has come up with an explanation of why he put up pictures of twin babies from a hospital website and passed them off as his. The ‘Samankwe’ crooner last week welcomed a set of twins, a boy and a girl, with his Abuja-based lover, in Beverly Hills, California. To show the world that he is now a proud father of twins, Harrisong who now runs his own record label, AltarPlate, put up pictures of a set of twins on his social media and as expected, the pictures went viral.

Unfortunately, his gimmick was soon uncovered. The song writer had shared pictures of a set of twins culled from a nursing website in the United States. Not a few called him out on this, accusing him of fooling the public and running the risk of being slammed with intellectual theft.

Unable to take the heat anymore, he had no choice but to address the issue. He explained that he was on set a video shoot with members of his crew here in Lagos when he got news of the birth of his twins. He said; “To set the record straight, the Instagram account, @perezandtarela was set up by my baby mama who is very reserved and media shy, despite being a successful business woman.

“She created the account with the aim of cataloguing the growth and development of her lovely twins, and to generally appreciate twins. Her younger sibling running the account posted internet photographs as a landing page and I was overjoyed and reposted the first photos while on m y way from Port Harcourt.

“With every sense of humility, it was a huge and regrettable mistake. To my fans and loyal followers, I say I am sorry for the confusion or any mix up the news may have generated.            And this episode is the inspiration behind my new single, ‘Arabanko’. It was written and produced within a day of the news breaking.”

Since his leaving Five Star music record label, owned by his former colleague, Kcee and his brother, E-Money early this year, Harrisong has tried to prove his capabilities in running his own show.
