Prof. Oluwale Dorcas Osisanya, mother to Bolaji Balogun and the first son to FCMB chairman, Otunba Subomi Balogun is dead. Prof. Osisanya who was never married to Otunba Subomi Balogun died a few weeks ago. And being the quiet and unassuming man that he is, Bolaji who runs Chapel Hill Denham, a financial advisory services firm, preferred to mourn her so quietly that even the Lagos social establishment was almost kept in the dark when he threw a farewell party for her. Unknown to many, Bolaji doesn’t share the same mother with his more popular brother, Ladi, the Group MD/CEO of First City Monument Bank. Ladi’s mother is societal matriarch, Olori Abimbola Adetutu.

Bolaji Balogun

Bolaji who began his career in the family owned FCMB bank, left the family-owned FCMB in 2001 and eventually set up his financial advisory firm, Chapel Hill in 2005. He would later go into a merger with Denham in 2008. Today, the company is one of Nigeria’s foremost investment banking experts and was pivotal to advising and working with the Central Bank of Nigeria in setting up the Assets Management Company of Nigeria, AMCON.
