The Anambra State All Progressives Congress, APC, Deputy Governorship Candidate, Senator Uche Lilian Ekwunife (Iyom), PhD, CON, has taken a swipe at Governor Charles Chukwuma Soludo, calling his leadership style petty, insensitive, and a failure to address the needs of the people of Anambra.

Her comments came after Soludo questioned her academic qualifications. He accused her of parading a fake PhD certificate. He also said that after disbanding native doctors that are into money rituals, his government will focus on fishing out those that are parading fake certificates in Anambra state.

Soludo also said that the governorship candidate, Nicholas Ukachukwu will be useful as a truck driver to help in supplying sand to government construction sites. He also dismissed the chances of a woman married into Anambra Central becoming governor.

Ekwunife however read the governor for filth.

In a trending video, Ekwunife accused Soludo of presiding over bloodletting, hunger, and untold hardship in the state. She recalled that two sitting members of the Anambra State House of Assembly were killed during his tenure, yet as Chief Security Officer of the state, the governor has failed to unravel the perpetrators or bring them to justice.

On allegations that her PhD is fake, she dared Soludo.

“If you doubt my certificates, take me to court. Stop using campaign rallies to malign me. My certificates from the University of Calabar and Nnamdi Azikiwe University are verifiable and open for scrutiny.”

Ekwunife also said Anambra’s social and economic life has collapsed under Soludo.

“Weekends that used to be lively with events and visitors are now marked by fear, insecurity, and economic downturn.

Responding to Soludo’s remarks that he would not hand over power to a woman married into another senatorial district, she fired back saying, “Governor Soludo’s own daughter is married outside her zone. Does that mean she should be denied rights in her husband’s community? No human being, including Soludo, can determine my destiny.”

Ekwunife went personal, alleging that the governor suffers from poor hygiene.

“Soludo has bad mouth and body odour. He is the dirtiest governor in West Africa. I advise his wife to buy him deodorant and mouthwash as part of her healthy living campaign.”

She further mocked his academic record saying, “That professorship is an award, not something earned. He hides his failures with agbero-style theatrics while ignoring insecurity and the welfare of Ndi Anambra.”

Ekwunife urged Soludo to channel his energy into addressing insecurity in the state and finding a lasting solution to it.
