Mitchelle Anuoluwapo Adeleke, a 12-year-old girl who claims to be the daughter of Afrobeats star, David Adeleke, popularly known as Davido, on Thursday, January 15, requested a DNA test with the singer.

The request was made in a detailed Instagram post where she stated that she was seeking to establish her identity as she transitions into adolescence.

She described years of bullying, emotional distress, and confusion surrounding her paternity, which she said began when she was six years old.

“I was bullied in school since I was six years old, and cried at home daily.

“Other students laughed at me when I told them my father was David Adeleke.

“I went through a lot of mental anguish and visited a medical professional to protect my mental health.

“It was a sad, challenging time in my life,” she wrote.

Despite these challenges, Anuoluwapo said she excelled academically, becoming a class prefect and maintaining top grades in school.

Now transitioning into her teenage years, she made a formal request for a DNA test to establish her identity, emphasizing that the decision came from her own initiative rather than pressure from relatives.

“As I transition into a young woman, I am respectfully asking David Adeleke for a DNA test to establish my identity.

“This test is between my dad and I. It is something I want. It is the right thing to do.

“Please, sir, consider my request once you read this post. I also sent it to your DM,” she added.

Davido, however, strongly rejected the claim in a series of posts on X later that same day.

The award-winning artiste stated that multiple DNA tests had been conducted at different medical facilities, all of which he said returned negative.

He further denied having any prior relationship with the girl’s mother and described the renewed claims as false.

“After five DNA tests, she dey crase.

“Her and her mom better leave me the fuck alone and go find her papa,” he wrote.

He elaborated that the tests were conducted at five different hospitals, with both parties selecting facilities of their choice.

“Yes, I chose three hospitals, and they chose their own two hospitals; all came out negative.

“This is the last time I’m speaking on this nonsense,” he stated.

Davido also claimed that his only meetings with Anuoluwapo’s mother, Ayo Labinjoh, took place during the DNA testing procedures.

“Never met the bitch except when we went for the DNA, very stupid behavior, I will soon treat their FK.

“Five fucking hospitals, just to be clear.

“The mom needs to go to jail, I don’t blame the poor girl,” he wrote.

Davido further revealed that his father, Deji Adeleke, had insisted on the DNA tests.

“You guys don’t know my father; he’s even the one that forced me to go.

“Adeleke’s, we don’t play about blood on this side!” he added.

Following Davido’s comments, a response was posted on Anuoluwapo’s instagram page, disputing the singer’s account.

The post claimed that only one DNA test was ever conducted in 2014 and stated that the process was compromised.

Anuoluwapo said she was emotionally distressed by Davido’s public remarks and maintained that her request was made in good faith.

Later that evening, her mother released a detailed statement defending herself and her daughter.

Identifying herself as a former waitress at GQ Club in Ibadan, Oyo state she rejected characterizations of herself as a prostitute or opportunist, stating that she comes from a good home and that her late father served Nigeria honorably before he was poisoned.

Ayo disputed Davido’s claim of never meeting her, pointing out the contradiction in his assertion while simultaneously claiming to have undergone DNA testing with their daughter.

“Dr Deji Adeleke took us to a Lab not a hospital, where Anu’s blood was drawn in 2014, then discarded behind our backs, and a fake result was printed.

“Wale Sobola was the lab technician who masked as Dr Alex, and a brother to Sotayo Gaga, a Nollywood actress, was the one who wrote an epistle on his page three years ago that he never did a test for Anu and discarded the blood drawn, blaming the wickedness for his life’s travails.

“We wasted our time, disrupted Anu’s mental health, then they lied that we did two tests, now five, and then he’s never met me.

“I’m not fighting for my daughter. My daughter is fighting for her identity,” she wrote.

Ayo announced her intention to request assistance from the United States (US) state department, given Davido‘s American citizenship, to facilitate an independent, supervised DNA test through the US embassy in Lagos or Abuja.
