Olumide Akpata, a former President of the Nigerian Bar Association (NBA) and Labour Party candidate for the Edo 2024 governorship election, has lost his father, Dr. Henry Omorogieva Akpata.
Dr Akpata, who celebrated his 84th birthday on May 29, 2024, passed away on Friday, January 10.
The elder Akpata was described by his son as loving, caring, doting, and dedicated.
Dr Akpata was widely admired for his dedication to family and community.
