Celebrity reality TV stars, Kendall and Kylie Jenner have issued a statement for their indiscretion in the use of the images of late iconic rappers, 2Pac and Biggie in the design of t shirts from their clothing line.

The Jenner sisters caught some flak earlier on for their latest t-shirt collection which features their faces transposed over the images of deceased music legends, Tupac and Biggie. Of course, many would have none it; social media was aggrieved and Biggie’s mother, Voletta Wallace took to her social media to express her disgust and disapproval.

“I’m not sure who told Kylie Jenner and Kendall Jenner that they had the right to do this. The disrespect of these girls to not even reach out to me or anyone connected to the estate baffles me. I have no idea why they feel they can exploit the deaths of 2pac and my Son Christopher to sell a t-shirt. This is disrespectful, disgusting, and exploitation at its worst.”

The t-shirts have since been pulled off their websites but that has not stopped others from weighing in on the issue. Talk show hostess of ‘The Talk’, Sharon Osbourne couldn’t resist the urge to put in her two cents.
“Girls, you haven’t earned the right to put your face with musical icons. Stick to what you know, lip gloss,” she tweeted.

Both girls have since issued a public apology via Twitter. They said, “The designs were “not well thought out and we deeply apologize to the families of the artists. We are huge fans of their music and it was not our intention to disrespect these cultural icons. The t-shirts have been pulled from retail and all images have been removed. We will use this as an opportunity to learn from these mistakes and again, we are sorry.”
