TV chef, Gordon Ramsay may be bringing home the bacon ($160 million worth of bacon), but don’t expect his four children to be reaping the benefits.

The 50 year old said that to prevent his children from growing up spoiled, they won’t see any of his massive net worth until they’re ready to move out.

“It’s definitely not going to them, and that’s not in a mean way; it’s not to spoil them,” Ramsay said of Megan, 18, twins Holly and Jack, 17, and Matilda, 15. “The only thing I’ve agreed with wife Tana is they get a 25 per cent deposit on a flat, but not the whole flat.”

The ‘Hell’s Kitchen’ star, who’s been married to wife Tana for 11 years, explained that he and his bride grew up on opposite ends of the spectrum. “She is from a well-to-do family, while I am from a council estate and we are happy to meet in the middle when it comes to our children, who we expect to adopt the same work ethic we have.”

The four Ramsay kids earn their own money and pay for their own cell phones and bus fare, and donate much of their time to charities. Each child is allotted a budget of 50 pounds (equivalent to $62) per week, except Meg, who is away at college and therefore gets 100 pounds (or $124) each week. And that budget certainly doesn’t allow for a first class airplane seat.

“They don’t sit with us in first class,” Ramsay said. “They haven’t worked anywhere near hard enough to afford that. At that age, that size, you’re telling me they need to sit in First Class? No, they do not. We’re really strict on that.”
