He has always been on the big side but for his 40th birthday, Prince Femi Akinruntan, the managing director of OBAT Petroleum decided to get a total makeover with his physique. He shed all the baby fat for a sleeker look to usher himself into the 40s club. Not many may be able to recognize him as the well travelled Prince and one of the industrious sons of Oba Obateru Akinruntan, the Olugbo of Ugbonla Kingdom in Ondo State, has trimmed down considerably. He decided it was about time to live a much healthier lifestyle by shedding off all the excess fat and today, he looks better, far healthier with a spring to his steps. Femi Akinruntan who has run the affairs of Obat oil for almost 10 years, recently clocked 40 late last month and to celebrate, his philanthropic nature went into overdrive as what was upper most in his mind was to give back. So he dedicated the day to providing free medical services to the less privileged people of his home statue and later celebrated with close friends and family at a lavish get together. It has only been a few weeks since he joined the 40s club, but Femi Akinruntan has attained some level of maturity and level headedness that comes with age and life’s experiences. Today, he sees life differently, with a calm resolve to take better charge of his life and his father’s business without the distractions that comes with wealth, power, position and youthful exuberance.
