The outgoing Senator representing Kaduna Central, Shehu Sani, has disagreed with the General Superintendent of the Deeper Christian Life Ministry, Pastor William Kumuyi, that Christians should not criticise President Muhammadu Buhari.

Kumuyi had during his sermon at the Deeper Life Bible Church Headquarters, Gbagada, Lagos on Sunday, made the alleged comment, adding that true Christians must obey constituted authorities and shun violence.

But responding to Kumuyi’s sermon, Sani in a post on his Twitter handle said that Kumuyi should allow Nigerians express themselves on what they feel about their leaders.
He wrote: “Pastor Kumuyi is a respectable and responsible man of God, I like him; but he should allow people to express their views about their leaders and speak truth to power; that is their only shield of defending democracy and propelling the wheel of freedom and justice.”

Similarly, an avowed critic of the Buhari administration and a former political aide of former president Goodluck Jonathan equally disagreed with Kumuyi against criticizing the Buhari administration. Taking to his twitter handle, he said,
