South West Govs, ministers pay condolence visit to Sanwo-Olu

South West Governors, accompanied by three Ministers, on Sunday paid a condolence visit to Lagos Governor Babajide Sanwo-Olu on the looting and arsons of public properties and institutions last week by suspected hoodlums.

The Southwest Governors led by its chairman, Governor Rotimi Akeredolu as well as the Ministers commiserated with those that lost their lives and properties in the coordinated attacks. The Governors on the entourage include: Kayode Fayemi(Ekiti) and Seyi Makinde(Oyo) accompanied by Minister of works and Housing, Babatunde Fashola; Minister for State of Health, Olorunnimbe Mamowora; Minister for Interior, Rauf Aregbesola; Minister of Industry, Trade, and Investment, Niyi Adebayo; Minister of Youth and Sports Development, Sunday Dare and Minister of Mines and Steel, Olamilekan Adebite.

They took off from Lagos House, Marina, Lagos. During the visit, the governor took them on a tour of some of the facilities set ablaze. Government-owned and private assets affected include Orile Divisional Police Headquarters, Ajah Divisional headquarters, Amukoko Police Station on Cemetery Road, Lagos State Public Works Corporation in Ojodu, Lagos Island LGA Secretariat, City Hall, Nigeria Port Authority building at Marina, Lagos State DNA and Forensic Centre at CMS, Vehicle Inspection Service headquarters at Ojodu and Toll Plazas at Lekki and Ikoyi Link Bridge, among others.
