Chukwuemeka Nwapa, this past weekend, walked his partner, Nonye Ukoh down the aisle in a classy destination wedding ceremony that took place in Rome, Italy to be precise.
The ceremony which included an exchange of vows both in a church cathedral and an outdoor arrangement, saw the groom’s mother accompanying him as he walked the aisle to take his place and await his bride.
There was a special performance by singer, Chike.
The white destination wedding is coming about four months after the couple held their traditional wedding at the Eko Hotels and Suites, Victoria Island, Lagos, in a spectacular talk-of-the-town ceremony.
Chukwuemeka’s mother is the daughter of Sir Christopher Nwapa, younger brother of Flora Nwapa, Africa’s first female novelist. Her sister is Adaora Umeoji, the first female managing director of Zenith Bank.
The groom’s father is Ogbuagu Ernest Nwapa, the pioneer executive secretary at the Nigerian Content Development and Monitoring Board.
