Rita Daniels, the mother of actress Regina Daniels, has called out Senator Ned Nwoko following his ongoing marital dispute with her daughter.
The crisis, which has captivated the public, began in October when a tearful video of the actress went viral. The clip showed Regina accusing her husband of domestic violence.
Responding to the controversy, Nwoko had alleged that the actress was struggling with drug and alcohol abuse.
On Monday, Regina accused Nwoko of orchestrating the arrest of her family members, particularly her brothers.
The conflict reached a new peak when Rita, appearing exhausted and emotional in a video posted to her son’s Instagram, launched a fierce critique against Nwoko, accusing him of ingratitude.
She claimed that she and her family had worked tirelessly to shield him from public ridicule and protect his image.
Rita detailed the family’s sacrifices for Nwoko’s political career, alleging that her daughter had personally given him $50,000 to support his electoral campaign.
Dismissing public narratives that labelled her daughter a “gold digger,” she turned the accusation back on Nwoko.
Rita suggested he was the one who sought the relationship to boost his own profile.
“You wanted a high star to boost your falling star. I swallowed it, and I kept quiet. I was covering you. The same way you went up, you will come down. If you think you can bite the finger that fed you, you will go down. People are saying money, which money?” she said.
“Because we are covering you up? Regina will come saying ‘my Odogwu’, they are making you feel funky. When you were going for the election, how much did Gina give to you? $50,000, that small girl gave to you to support your election. And the ones I supported you with, all my resources went into your election.
“You are mad. People are calling her a gold digger, which digger? Because we are covering your shame. Go and look at Ned Nwoko’s children, whether they look like a billionaire’s children. Have you seen them?”
