Afrobeat singer, Seun Kuti has been released from police custody after meeting his bail conditions on Tuesday.

Seun was detained by the police for assaulting a police officer some days ago on Third Mainland Bridge, Lagos.

Kuti’s lawyers had in a statement earlier  said that he would be released on bail as ordered by the Magistrate.

His release comes shortly after Flutist, Tee Mac Omatshola Itsueli begged the Inspector-General of Police to release him.

Last week. Clergyman, Chris Okotie had pleaded with the IGP to temper justice with mercy.
