Just a few months ago, Nigerian born English singer-songwriter, Sade Adu’s daughter, Mickailia Morgan, began her medical transition into a man. The singer’s daughter who now goes by the name, Ila, was reportedly dealing with gender dysphoria, which is when a person feels uncomfortable in their own skin because the sexuality of their body is opposite of their gender identity. The 21-year-old, had started out as a lesbian before announcing that she was having injections to transition from female to male. Ila has been quite open about her transitioning, documenting most of it on social media. Now she is about 97 per cent done, is much happier with being a man and what’s more, has her (his) mum’s approval.
Ila is Sade’s only child from her relationship with Jamaican music producer, Bob Morgan.
