The high-profile marriage between Nollywood actress Regina Daniels and politician Ned Nwoko is facing a severe public crisis following allegations of domestic violence.

A viral video surfaced online showing a tearful Daniels being consoled by friends as she levelled serious accusations against her husband.

In the clip, a heartbroken Daniels is heard claiming she can no longer endure the alleged abuse.

“In Ned Nwoko’s house, I am nothing, but in my house, I am a queen. Not again, I cannot stand the violence, it is too much,” she said tearfully.

The allegations gained further traction when Sammy West, Daniels’ brother, took to his Instagram story to accuse Nwoko of physically assaulting his sister and then fleeing before sending thugs to harass the family.

West, who is a singer, also claimed that this was not an isolated incident.

“Makachi, e pain me say una wan finally laugh my sister. Let me repeat, anywhere wey man Dey beat woman, whether na my sister or not, I go fight with my blood,” he wrote in Pidgin language.

“Senator Ned Nwoko, you get luck say after you beat my sister again, smash her head for wall, you run commot send thugs. I swear I for burst your jaw.”

As of the time of this report, Nwoko has not issued any public statement addressing the allegations.

The incident comes a few weeks after the actress shared a controversial prank video on Instagram featuring her husband.

The video showed a moment of domestic intrusion as Nwoko entered the restroom, only to be met with his wife’s camera and a song playing in the background with highly contentious lyrics.

The song’s lyrics, which could be heard in the video, included phrases such as “husband is useless. Yeye man must die, kill your husband make your life better. If you kill your husband you no go suffer and will get plenty freedom.”

The clip captured Nwoko’s visibly displeased reaction before Daniels quickly blocked the view as he began to urinate.

Despite her playful intent, the post drew immediate and widespread criticism online. Many users condemned her choice of song and described the act as deeply disrespectful, particularly given Nwoko’s status as a senator and public figure.

Nwoko, however, left a lighthearted comment that diffused the tension. “This wife of my old as I call her. Come here,” he wrote.

The couple, who married in 2019 and share two children, had recently announced in March that they were expecting their third child.
