It is no longer news that the 15-year-old marriage between businessman, Okwudili Umenyiora aka Dilly and his entrepreneur wife, Fifi collapsed last year like a pack of badly arranged cards.
And within a year, Dilly quickly replaced his ex-wife with businesswoman, Anastasia Malandrenia a Greek born ex flight attendant turned real estate entrepreneur. He got engaged to her and is now married to her.
IvoryNG had reported that the former power couple had been having issues over a period of time but managed to keep it under wraps while still presenting a united front for their social media fans.
Dilly who is the chairman of Dilly Motors and The Dredgers Association of Nigeria while confirming the crash of his marriage attributed it to irreconcilable differences. Their union was blessed with three kids before it collapsed.
Now new information has come to light about why the marriage collapsed.
The marriage allegedly collapsed due to infidelity.
Dilly who many swear has anger issues, at some point during the marriage allegedly had some health challenges and was unable to fulfill his marital obligation to his then wife, Fifi, forcing her to test the waters outside. Unfortunately, she got caught by her husband who suspected and began snooping on her.
His anger got the better side of him and there was verbal confrontation and altercation. He was mad that Fifi allegedly, had the courage to cheat on him. She begged him like her life depended on it, to forgive her but he would hear none of it. He called it a huge betrayal. Despite all the settlement meetings set up, he refused to budge.
Ironically, he wasn’t a saint either but each time he got caught cheating, he would apologise casually, and Fifi would forgive him.
Dilly decided to move on to the next thing, Anastasia who has allegedly had her own fair share of relationships among Lagos men.
Fifi has since relocated out of the country to save face and is quietly rebuilding her life.
Speaking about his new marriage, Dilly says, “You meet a woman and at times when you have some arguments you doubt her and get upset at her and during the course of the arguments you believe the relationship will not work because of betrayals of close people to me in the past, but every time, the woman transcends and proves you wrong, and I always kept silent in my mind, but today by the special grace of GOD I believe GOD gave me a good wife, because the truth of the matter is that only GOD can give you a good wife and I am speaking from experience. Nonetheless I would like the world to wish me good luck on this second phase of marriage, it takes a lot of courage and strength to embark on such a journey especially after getting out of the last marriage after 17 years, please I want to encourage all other people that marriage is a good thing and just because one marriage fails, it does not mean you can’t get up and marry again. I also thank GOD, because I prayed for a new wife and GOD brought her my way. I Love you former Anastasia Malandrenia and now Anastasia UMENYIORA. BAG SECURER, AKA THICK SKIN.”
From a royal background, Dilly is an older sibling to USA NFL player, Osi Umenyiora, who married Leila Lopez, a former Miss Universe in 2015. His stepfather owns Germain Motors and he is the half-brother of Nicole, wife to rapper, Naetochukwu Chikwe aka Naeto C. Nicole’s mum was married to his dad until he passed on in the year 2020.
Dilly who owns one the most palatial homes in the Lekki area of Lagos, is unfortunately unable to travel to the United States. He is an alleged fugitive in the US and is being haunted by an alleged fraud he committed on US soil years ago and risks being hauled behind bars if he ever makes an attempt to go to the states.
Some years ago, some Nigerians were on trial in Alabama for running a big-time fraud operation. Dilly was allegedly one of them. He got arrested and turned a jailhouse informant, got released from federal prison on March 9, 2006 and later got re- arrested. Prior to the 2006 arrest, he allegedly had several brushes with the law, which didn’t help his case.
Back home in Nigeria, he has on several occasions exhibited an attitude considered worrisome. A clear example was during the period his label signee, Runtown had a running battle with him over his recording contract, which he (Runtown) claimed Dilly kept breaching. Runtown claimed that Dilly pulled a gun on him in his (Dilly’s) residence and allegedly threatened to ‘fuck him up’ and his career simply because he (Runtown) went to London on vacation without informing him.
“He told me stories of how he killed people in prison and that anyone that fucks with him, he will kill the person. Of course, I won’t go to that kind of person’s house. What if I go there and something happens to me?” Runtown had said.
