It is not often that a former bank MD usually gets the opportunity of a second chance to do something along the line of what he is cut out to do let alone be the chairman of a merchant bank. But providence seems to have smiled on Philip Odozua, the immediate past managing director of UBA. Not only has he pulled investors together to float the newly licensed lender, Nova Merchant Bank Ltd, he is the bank’s board chairman. Philip Odozua will not only bring his wealth of experience to bear on the new bank, he plans to leverage on financial technology to create superior banking values for its customers.
