Human rights lawyer and activist, Festus Keyamo, SAN, who has been an ardent defender of the current administration, has been appointed the Director, Strategic Communications, that is, he is the official spokesperson) for the President Muhammadu Buhari’s 2019 presidential campaign.
This was contained in a statement signed by the Secretary, office of the Director-General, President Muhammadu Buhari Campaign Organization, Mohammed Dattijo. The statement reads, “Kindly find attached the letter from President Muhammadu Buhari Campaign Organisation appointing Mr. Festus Keyamo, SAN, and Fellow of Chartered Institute of Arbitration, United Kingdom as the Director, Strategic Communications (Official Spokesperson) for the President’s 2019 presidential campaigns.
The President had earlier last week decalred his intention to run in the 2019 presidential election.
However not a few people are miffed that someone who calls himself a crusader and considers himself a human rights lawyer and activist, would consider taking up the job of a spokesman for the re-election campaign of a president who disobeys court orders and has little or no respect for the lives of the citizens he presides over.
