It was such a gory sight, seeing a 6-year-old girl bleeding excessively as a result of being violently raped by a notorious man identified as Jimmy. The young girl has since been rushed to the Ondo State specialist hospital in Okitipupa.
According to reports, the incident happened, yesterday, in Irele and the perpetrator is currently on run. The Nigeria Association of Women Journalists, NAWOJ, has therefore charged the Ondo State Police Command to swing into action and bring the perpetrator to book.
An eyewitness, said the police is not ready to take up the case and the girl was initially returned to her parents. Her father is identified as Tosin Abosede and his contact number is given as O8148543959.
