Gunmen kill Baptist pastor in Kaduna – CAN

The Christian Association of Nigeria in Kaduna State on Wednesday, has said that gunmen killed Baptist pastors in Asso, in the Jema’a Local Government Area of the state. The CAN Chairman in the state, Rev. Joseph Hayab, identified the deceased as Rev. Alhamdu Mandadus of the Baptist Church, Asso.

The incident occurred around noon on Wednesday on the victim’s farm. According to Hayab, the military men deployed in the area took the corpse of the cleric to an unknown destination.

The CAN leader said, “Gunmen killed Rev. Alhamdu Mangadus of Baptist Church, Asso, today (Wednesday). He was shot dead on his farm and the attackers injured another fellow from Tanda. We are going back to the era of senseless killings. When will people be safe to go out and seek food to feed their families?”

He called on the government to secure the lives and property of the citizens.
