Fashion designer, Folake Akindele of the Tiffany Amber fame is bereaved. She has lost one of her sisters, Ayodele Adebimpe more popularly known as AYZ, to the cold hands of death.

Ayodele passed away on July 3, 2024 at the age of 48 after an undisclosed illness. She would have been 49 next month. Described as a joyful soul loved by all, the late Ayo impacted many with her kindness and generosity. Her philanthropic approach to life was inspiring to all and a challenge to many.

A two-day funeral programme has been lined up. It starts on Monday, July 15 with a Christian Wake Keep at the Balmoral Hall, Federal Palace Hotel, Victoria Island, Lagos. Her funeral service will hold on Tuesday, July 16 at Hoares Memorial Methodist Church, Yaba to be followed by a private internment.

The deceased’s late father, Chief Bode Akindele, the Parakoyi of Ibadanland and founder/chairman of the Modandola Group passed away on June 29, 2020 at 87.
